Mad Dog & Fair Cop

A fine restoration project

Fair Cop & Rear Entry pose by the statue of Andreas Syngros (Ανδρέας Συγγρός) - who donated the park to the nation.

Andreas Syngros  (Born in 1830 in Constantinople, Died 1899 in Athens) was a wealthy Greek banker, politician and national benefactor.
During his lifetime he made significant donations to charitable institutions, while his will bequeathed much of his wealth to the
Greek government for the construction of hospitals (e.g. Andreas Syngros Hospital), schools and national institutions.

Mad Dog also stops for a breather
